Swipe your symptomsWhy do you start every job with a camera?
Because guessing is expensive. The camera shows root intrusion, cracks, offsets and blockages before any work begins, so the method fits the actual problem and you can see the proof yourself.
How much does a camera inspection cost?
A sewer line camera inspection is $395, and sewer line cleaning is $450. Educators, first responders, veterans and active military get 10% off every service.
Are you available for emergencies?
Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Routine service runs 8 am to 5 pm daily, and the emergency line never closes.
Why do homes built before 1960 need sewer work more often?
Pre-1960 homes typically have full clay lateral runs with joints every few feet. Roots work into the joints, and decades of freeze-thaw cycles shift and crack the pipe.
What’s the difference between hydro jetting and snaking?
Snaking punches a hole through a blockage but leaves buildup on the pipe walls. Hydro jetting scours the full diameter of the pipe, so the line stays clear far longer.
When is open-cut excavation the right repair?
When the camera shows a broken, collapsed or badly offset section that has to be physically replaced. The decision follows the structural assessment, never convenience.
Why do sewer backups spike during nor’easters?
Heavy rain overloads municipal systems and pushes groundwater into cracked laterals. When the main surcharges, water finds the lowest opening, usually a basement floor drain.
What gets checked in a pre-sale sewer inspection?
The full lateral from the cleanout to the street: pipe material, joints, roots, cracks, bellies and past repairs. You get timestamped footage with distance markers.
Can store-bought drain cleaners clear the same blockages?
No. They dissolve some organic material but don’t touch hardened scale, root masses or grease stuck to the pipe walls.
What’s included in septic cleaning beyond pumping?
A high-pressure tank wash, a second vacuum pass and a baffle inspection. Baffles keep solids in the tank and out of your drain field.
How is grease trap cleaning different from routine pumping?
We measure grease depth and record the volume removed on every visit. That gives you compliance documentation and a schedule based on real data.
